Decisions and Consequences

It’s officially the start of the 2nd quarter. How did you do on your goals during the 1st quarter? What are your plans for the next couple of months?

Something that you should keep in mind as you think about the last 3 months and look forward to the next 3, every decision you make has consequences, both good and bad.

Decide to put off work on an important project due to a fire you need to put out, as opposed to delegating the fire issue, there will be a consequence.

Decide to work on a project because you already put it off and are behind schedule and not meet with your employees, there will be a consequence.

Decide to meet with your employees and delay checking email for a few minutes, there will be a consequence. In this case a good consequence. You will be building a relationship with them.

Building relationships is an important key to becoming or continuing to be a great manager. Managing your time to be able to work on the important things is another key to successful management. Don’t underestimate the value it brings and don’t underestimate the consequences your decisions make/

Spend some time today and build those relationships and think about what’s really important.

We can help you build those relationships and prioritize your time. Call or email us to learn more about how identifying  consequences can make your life easier and less stressed
